St. Dominic Catholic Community provides several organized avenues in preparation of and in receiving of the Holy Sacraments. Practicing Catholics may coordinate Baptisms and Weddings by contacting the church office. First Reconciliation, First Communion and Confirmation for school age children are prepared by the Religious Education contact. The RCIA program offers adult preparation of the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, Communion and Confirmation.

Parish Registration: Being a member of the Catholic Church means making a commitment to a community of faith. We, therefore, would like everyone to register. Contact the church office for registration cards. The registration card will establish our mutual obligation. Contribution envelopes will be assigned and mailed to your residence through the diocese after registration is received. Please know we will keep all individual offerings confidential. We do ask that you contact the church office when you relocate.

Baptism Class: If you know you are going to have a child baptized, or if a godparent for someone else’s child, arrangements must be made two months prior to baptism. In choosing godparents, please know that there are deemed requirements. They must be at least 16 years of age, and active Catholics who have been baptized and confirmed. One of the godparents may be a baptized Christian who is not Catholic. If godparents are not going to be present for the baptism, proxies can represent them. The church office will need a letter from their home parish giving them permission to serve as godparents. Please plan ahead and register early. Confirmation: Confirmation preparation is offered during the school year to anyone in the grade of 7-12. Extra classes and service project hours are required. Classes are held during the religious education calendar year. A copy of the student’s baptismal certificate is needed. If you do not have a copy, please pursue obtaining one as soon as possible.

Weddings: Couples planning to marry must contact the church office six months prior to the proposed wedding date. Prior marriages require more time. Marriage prep classes or Pre-Cana must be completed prior to wedding.
